At the end of the day

Woke up without the help of the alarm as I’d taken the day off work. Thick snow outside. Which later melted and, with the help of torrential rain, formed impressive rivers flowing down the fields and onto the roads.

Still, my sister very kindly picked Eve up from her student accommodation to start phase one of the re-homing programme and Joe had an early shift at work. So, by the time darkness descended (4pm), Mrs S and I lit the candles in the chatterbox and settled in.

Phase two of the re-homing is tomorrow so hopefully the weather will improve.
