Squirrel

I spotted this rather large squirrel in the garden today and it looked rather odd. Over it's shoulders it looks like it has lost it's fur (like when a cat has been spayed and had it's fur shaved off). By the time I got my camera it had climbed the tree, so the view of it's shoulders wasn't good, but you can just see the edge of that area. I wonder what happened.
