Day 339/20. An old letter box.

Set in a wall in the old part of Winchester is this letter box.
The wording reads:
'Notice: Letters which contain coin if posted as ordinary letters will be charged on delivery with a special registration fee of 8d.'
But a bigger clue to its date is the motif as the top. VR - Victoria Regina. That puts it somewhere in Queen Victoria's reign. 1837 - 1901. So at least 120 years old and still in use today.
