Snow

There has been some snow today. It has been wet snow and is already fading away, but nice to look at - less enjoyable to experience as the accompanying wind is bitingly cold. A mixed day. This morning cleaning and a walk to the post office whilst snowing its hardest hoping that no-one else would venture out then and I wouldn't have to queue outside. It worked! Also Gillian Tyler, who is an illustrator who lives in a neighbouring village, delivered Ms S's Christmas present - a linocut called 'Curlew in Cottongrass'. Stanley has hurt his paw and is feeling very sorry for himself. It doesn't seem very bad - probably a sore pad - but he is making the most of it demanding affection and lots of comfort. He seems to recover spasmodically when there is the possibility of food or someone at the door.
