Green Hellebore

Described as a 'rather primitive' plant by one of my wild flower books. It's one of the earliest 'rarish' plants to flower. They are not very common but there is a large colony of them at Roche Abbey in S Yorks. It's an old Cistercian monastery and at certain times of the year has other rarish plants flowering on the site.
