Boring. NOT

This is the business end of a Tunnel Boring machine that The Boss was invited to attend the inauguration of today. It will be used in the "City Rail" project on Auckland and it is named  after Dame Whina Cooper who is a very famous Maori lady who fought her entire life for Maori land rights. It is quite usual for tunnelling machines to be named after ladies and the ceremony around this was really wonderful. This project is currently the biggest in NZ and it was great to attend. The site for the event was actually where the tunnel will be started and the construction outfit involved had made extra efforts for this event which included "Digger Art" in extras.
The Boss would love to push the start button but it will probably be the Prime Minister or someone considerable more important. I wasn't invited as he was not wearing his pak but attended via SSD Teleportation and was not allowed to bark. It will take 50 very large trucks a day to cart the diggings away to where it will be "recycled" in another project.  
And before you ask YES The Bossess has been seen with a hard hat and Hi Vis jacket but today was wearing a more suitable outfit.
