Aesthetically pleasing?

This tree is around 100 years old. It hadn't been maintained properly by Manchester city council and was blown down a long while ago in extreme winds. This stunning tree has since become food and shelter for all manner of creatures and little beasties. MCC are going to remove this tree as it is not aesthetically pleasing and does not fit in with their gentrified Victorian development.
