A chilly start to the day

A slight dusting of snow during the night which rapidly froze as the temperature dropped below zero.

Car needed de-icing, path to the gate needed salting and then I was ready for the off ..... post office, supermarket and a walk with the dogs. Very slippy in some parts of the park ..... if in doubt walk on the mucky grass which we did a number of times ....it's so undignified to end up sitting in the middle of a patch of black ice.

This little piece of ice was nestling on the petals of my dwarf azalea.

Christmas card writing tonight and perhaps a few decorations might find their way onto the mantlepiece and anywhere else I can find a space.
