Holly Explosion
A late start to a grey day but the birds were up earlier, stripping away at the holly berries in the front garden. The tree needs a damned good trim and is starting to look tired, but pushes out thousands of tasty red berries. This is a quick zoom burst, almost straight out of the camera.
The fields are turning ever more bog-like, with hundreds of additional lockdown walkers taking their daily exercise nonetheless. Then back to phone the garage door people, who came out to survey for a new roller door then quoted (quite reasonably) for a completely different sized door!
I'm aware of a large explosion down in Avonmouth near Bristol today. My son-in-law works nearby but was thankfully not involved. Avonmouth has had a few large explosions over the years, one I recall lifting the ceiling tiles of the control room in Iron Acton, 10km away. There are causalities and four people are currently unaccounted for.
