Beads and wheels
This lady was walking along reciting her mantras while spinning her prayer wheel and counting using the prayer beads. That is full on Tibetan Buddhist action! But she didn't mind me taking a couple of snaps of her, she was indeed very obliging :-)
Many ladies like this can be seen walking the streets around here. I think the act of spinning the wheel and counting on the prayer beads calms the mind (kind of like rubbing your tummy while patting your head), the concentration required to do both means you cant focus on anything else (much). Ommmmm.
Good day in the office today. And I also printed out some photos of the locals I had taken and gave them out. One man and his son were really chuffed. And so was I :-)
This morning we had a Skype call with Nono and the rest of our Colombian family, it was "yesterday" for us and they were still celebrating Angela's birthday. It was great to see them all happy.
