Result of Yesterday’s Gales
We parked in Mt Roy’s car park and walked through the fields to the lake. Yesterday’s winds have gone a long way to finishing off this old structure. The end wall has collapsed, the roof ripped open with corrugated iron and planks flung metres away. It was still windy and parts of the roof were flapping dangerously. We didn’t linger. Further down the track a tall poplar tree was down. The first extra is a deceivingly tranquil looking scene with fresh, overnight snow on the mountains and the second a ruffled lake.
