Big long walk Wednesday

What a beautiful day for a big long walk. We walked all the way from our house to Torduff and Clubbiedean Reservoirs which was about 6 miles and then the plan was to walk down to Currie and back home via the Waters of Leith and the canal. …...........Best laid plans and all that. The walkway along the Waters of Leith was closed at Juniper Green so that was the end of that plan.

Instead, we had to follow the diversion, so ended up crossing over the river and walking along Woodhall Road and back to Colinton. By the time we got to Colinton we'd been walking for more than 3 hours and had walked 9.3 miles. Also Ann had sore feet, so we jumped on a number 16 bus and came home.

We've both spent a lot of the afternoon snoozing  watching Netflix  although Ann did pop to Waitrose to pick up a new ipad she'd ordered from John Lewis. Her old one was more than 6 years old and a lot of her apps wouldn't work on it and also it had a very cracked screen because she tripped over me when I was a weeny, teeny puppy and dropped it! She was really worried about setting it up because she didn't have anyone to help her, but actually it was very easy. She just had to put her phone next to it and it miraculously transferred all the info over. Isn't technology amazing?!

…...............And then do you know what she made me do? She woke me up and said I had to go on a little trek around the block for toileting purposes. Mmmmmmmmm.......................... I was happily snoozing and I didn't really want to go out again. I'd had a wee at 1.15pm yes Ann's still obsessed with my toileting habits so I was happy to stay in for the rest of the day. However as I don't go out for my bedtime wee until about 10pm, Ann was worried that I wouldn't be able to last that long. What do you think Blippers? Is 9 hours too long to expect a doggie to wait to go to the toilet? Anyway by 4pm it's always freezing outside so I had a wee straight away, thinking that Ann would bring me back in, but she didn't. She still made me walk round the block!!

It's weird............................. I have such a different personality from 'MollyCollie'. Molly was always up for going for a walk at any time of the day or night and she was a very light sleeper. I seem to sleep all the time. I don't feel the need to follow Ann to the toilet or anywhere else in the flat. I'm not a needy little collie pup. Because I was out for more than 3 hours this morning, I didn't feel that I needed another walk. Molly would have been nudging Ann's legs by 3.30pm if she felt she wasn't going to get an afternoon walk. Oh well, ho, hum, I guess we're all different and Ann is really glad that I'm such a chillaxed little collie pup.

It's now almost 6pm and I'm still in my bed snoozing, though hopefully Ann will feed me soon because walking 9.3 miles has made me very hungry.

See you all tomorrow. Toodles. xxx
