In search of comfort

I set out to look for replacement knock-about, slightly stylish shoes but didn't find any. Shopping is the thing I am the worst at. Are there, somewhere in this here midwestern metropolis, really people who would pay $148 for a pair of shoes?

It'll have to be online then: order a few pairs and send back all but the one pair that is the most comfy.

While searching, I became slightly side-tracked and found proof that it is marvelous to have very expressive eyes.
