Excessive coffee variety

Lavazza seem to think that nine different types of coffee should be available to use in their coffee machine. I struggle to think how coffee can taste that different! I read recently though that coffee will become the new wine - that there are as more tasting notes in coffee as there are in wine and that people will soon be connoisseurs of fine coffee...
Until then I'll just keep alternating my coffee choice at random..
