Guinea fowl feathers

I picked these pretty feathers up on my walk the other day. Just outside the next village we came across an enclosure of turkeys and black and white speckled birds which I later discovered were guinea fowl. I had no idea they were reared here... I've never seen them before in the flesh or on a menu.
Today was a mainly wet day but not cold so I nipped down for a quick swim during a dry almost sunny spell. An unexpected treat! This really must be the last one for a while, as the rain is due to continue and the temperature to go down to single figures tomorrow.
