Upton Slip

Friday always was my favourite day, the promise of the weekend to come, since COVID it has cemented itself as the favourite.
I always have a cooked breakfast on Friday, today’s was supplemented with Hogs Pudding, then a long shower and sorted myself out.
I then go to see friends Richard and Jackie, with Jackie’s illness they have been in Self Isolation since early March. In the spring and the summer I sat on a chair on the pavement and they sat on chairs in the garden. With the arrival of autumn and winter we have moved to the garage, I sit at the up and over door end, door open, Richard and Jackie sit further back.
That’s how we spend a couple of hours every Friday, chatting about anything and everything, sometimes with a pasty, sometimes with a cake, sometimes with both.
Happy Days
Today’s photo shows Upton Slip with the figure head, the new pasty bakers/shop and the steps to the water, the decay has been arrested and it is becoming quite quaint in appearance.
