The Long And Winding Road

Happy St Andrew's Day, Scotland's patron saint and on the 30th November we celebrate our national day. The St Andrew's Cross or Saltire is our national flag, tradition has it that the flag originated in a battle fought in East Lothian in the Dark Ages (that's pre-Thatcher).

Today was mainly spent walking in the local countryside, tonight I will have a dram.

My album of the day is "Buena Vista Social Club" by Buena Vista Social Club. Veteran Cuban musicians play vintage Cuban music and record an important musical document for posterity. If you get one album of Cuban music, this should be the one, I just find the whole thing hypnotic.
