I went for a spin with my pal Ron down to Trinity Buoy Wharf - our chosen coffee destination for the morning. Wow! It's all changing so fast with new apartments going up all over the place even in the last few months.
On arriving at the waterside we saw a container that looked like a mini photography museum. Working inside we had the pleasure of meeting Hilary Powell who is the artist in residence renewing the technique of ferrotype photography. Reproducing the metal plate processes of the early photographers.
She is trying to process images onto SIM cards and lockets (see extra). We had a good chat and later I was intrigued by her various projects shown on her website.
I must go back and have another chat with her. Thanks for your time, Hilary. Always a surprise what you might discover and who you might meet on a ramble.
