Icons for an age of austerity

Messing around in the dark, a suitable analogy for how those who are a bit unhappy at the current state of the Nation are dealing with things. I am playing with my camera and seeing what I can create. A bit of light sculpture a bit of cut and paste and I came up with this image which I like. I believe Che was a highly moral person and wanted Above all to change things for the oppressed and I suppose depending on your views how successful he was is the end is debatable. What can't be denied is his willingness to bring about change and not meekly accept oppression. Words like freedom, resistance, solidarity, collective and unity seem lost and words like survival, redundancy, debt, individualism and wealth, seem to be used more. Maybe we need icons for this age of austerity which speak of a more moral socially committed time. We need change .
