The intrepid duo are nearly there!

Today they arrived in Wick, where they stopped in the town and were surrounded by well wishers, many of whom had been following them on Facebook ( all day today - and I was at work but played the feed through my radio from my phone so’s I could listen to Andrew’s blether! ).

I’m not sure but they may have been outside an RNLI shop/charity shop?

Anyway, at least one person there was a crew member of Wick RNLI so Barry unloaded a large wad of money he’d been given along the way to them.

His JustGiving page has raised £8,690 so far.

They should be arriving in John O’Groats on Tues, early afternoon. If anyone wants to see them, tune in to Andrew’s Journey on Facebook as Andrew will be driving along behind them to make sure they arrive there safely.

What are we 5000 followers going to do once they get there?! This has been the highlight of many people’s day ...

Andrew will carry on with his own projects though, so there will still be bits and bobs to see, but no Barney or Barry for a while ... til Andrew gets down to the Midlands on his North - South walk next year. Can’t wait!
