Caution
man at work.
Thank you J for giving me something to blip today, and thank you for pruning the tree.
This Japanese flowering cherry tree was a mere sapling when we moved into this house 45 years ago. It's served us well with it's pretty blossom (I featured it in blossom during the 1st lockdown). And given us cooling shade during the summer months, and especially this year when we actually had time to sit in the garden!
I have a picture of Jodie as a baby, sat underneath it with the 4 dogs we had at the time (39 years ago), and her son Franky helping Grandad J fill the bird feeders. Sadly, we've said our final goodbye's to some of our dogs over the years under it. It's been witness to many family gatherings.
But I don't like clearing it's leaves in the Autumn.
