Vandenberg air force base as seen from.Falcon IX

I'm not quite sure screen shots are allowed but I spent my Saturday afternoon watching the launch of Esa's new Sentinel 6 Michael Freilich satellite to measure sea level globally.

The launch vehicle was Space X Falcon IX. It was a really inspiring sight.

The data from the satellite will be hugely important in continuing to accurately monitor sea level rise over the next decade too.
