Pick up a few things

Our new weekly shop tradition, that I mentioned on Wednesday, occurs on a Saturday morning. PY will think up a menu for the week ahead and go through the cupboards to see what ingredients we have. I will then shop for the rest. Back in March and April there were regularly queues outside the supermarket but as the months passed, as the supplies of pasta and flour gradually got back to normal levels, the queues disappeared. Today, for some reason, there was a short queue and a run on flour. My guess is everybody's baking a Christmas cake this weekend.
