the weather was nice - so i took a quick mountain drive - where i was low enough to - miss snow and ice - yet high enough to bump into one - of these lovely mountain goats - it was just perfect timing - all around and in - case you’re interested - here a few fast facts

-mountain goats are sometimes confused with bighorn sheep
-mountain goats are not native to colorado but were brought in as game animals in the 1940’s
-they prefer steeper terrain which protects them from predators
-the males are larger, weighing as much as 300 pounds

truly mountain goats are - an amazing animal - and to me, quite majestic - seeing them is a treasure - and always makes it...
