The door that is the home for the current dollock wouldn't shut properly even with the gunged up catch out of the way.  A quick inspection revealed that the hinges were somewhat packed out with paint themselves and no way were going to close properly; so off comes the door.

Heat gun, hammer, chisel drill and wire brush later, the initials W.D come to light on both hinges.  

I wonder if Mr. Churchill wants them back?
