Sunshine on fresh laundry
Today the sun broke through and was surprisingly warm. There was fresh steam rising from every surface it touched; and when my black jeans came out of the wash and onto the line it was like a plume of smoke.
In the afternoon I took another walk up Larkhill as the sun was going down, the sky to the west was clear of clouds, so there wasn't going to be a sunset to match those earlier in the week. However, the cloud of condensation from Didcot's gas-fired power station was caught by the late sun, to bookend the morning heat. (Extra photo.)
The iconic cooling towers of the old Didcot coal-fired power station have now gone. Progress I guess!
