Up the Pole!

This was the view from our living-room window this afternoon. Basically, the old power cabling was being replaced along with some of the old wooden poles and most of the old rusty street lights. We had also been advised that our power would be off for most of the day but that proved to be wrong. However, we packed ourselves off this morning and went to Falkirk then over to see Ali, Euan & Eve for lunch. Back home mid-afternoon to check on progress to find that the power was still on (thank goodness and bung the central heating on sharpish!) and the traffic lights at the junction were causing sheer mayhem. Real "Wacky Races" stuff!
