Zoomed with community choir this morning and then got ready to go down the village as my prescription was ready and I had letters to post to friends in France and Australia.  My friend in France had written to say her partner was ill, so I wanted to reply as soon as possible.  As I opened the door to go out the postman arrived, and I saw another letter from France.  Sadly my friend’s partner had died.  I opened the letter I had ready for posting and added an extra letter with my condolences.  In the village I collected my meds, called at the post office and then the butchers.  I intended to have a walk round, but by then my bag was quite heavy, so just had a wander round the park.  Many trees have completely lost their leaves now, just leaving a golden carpet.  Saw 2 church friends on the way back, so had a chat about a song we will be recording.  Called on bus Pass Walker friend P to see how she was as her daughter and SIL have both had Covid.  Luckily she has been okay.  Home again and cooked a chicken dish for tea, and the day was over.  More episodes of The Crown tonight - getting a bit obsessive!
