A hazy sunset

We went north this afternoon. After a visit with daughter C, whose first book is about to be released for sale. Siren’s Call. She has just received a box of final proofs and they look fabulous unfortunately a few weeks late for the Christmas market.

Arrived at the beach house and saw that the tide was too far out for good birding. Settled to read but S wasn’t feeling well, and we returned to Auckland. I had tried for a photo of a Piwakawaka (fantail) before we decided to return to the city, but the battery was just about shot.
