It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Summer

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Actually it was pretty cold this morning. But the afternoon brought blazing sunshine and I made the mistake of suggesting to Caro that she might want to go to Mitre 10.

She's been talking about this for a while. She wants to:

- Repaint the inside of the garage
- Buy a big plant
- Re-pot some existing plants

So I accompanied her along to the store to earn valuable Husband Points, and also because they have a nice cafe* in there. 

While I was there, I took this picture of a terribly tasteful Santa ornament. I also bought some plants of my own and then spent an hour in the garden placing them in the garden. 

We've also got an Xmas tree that needs putting up. We're going a bit mad this year with the lights and the festivities because we love sparkly things have kids coming to stay. 

So yes, it is feeling very festive here today. But I cannot bring myself to say "Christmassy". You know, it just doesn't feel right if Santa's in shorts.
