Dark-eyed Junco

These birds are harbingers of winter, specifically cold and snow. I should have taken notice of how many were out and about today, and then maybe I would have worn a warmer coat on my walk. The sunny blue sky always fools me into thinking it is warmer than it really is. I hope I have learned my lesson!
