Too Good to Waste

Blue skies and sunshine at lunchtime blew away my plans for finishing off the fiddly bits of the loft insulation.   It was just too nice outside.   While Jamie and Tilda cycled and sunset watched along the coast, I headed inland to Craig Yr Aderyn, Bird Rock which was picked out by a shaft of sunshine my blip of a couple of days ago.   750 ft above sea level, it was a sea cliff hundreds of years ago and seabirds still nest there today.   A half hour stiff climb, longer if you're not sunset chasing, it offers grand views all round both of the coast and the mountains.   A magical place at sunset.   Hopefully the pictures (see extras too) give you a taste.   Yes, it was cold up there but Meg (seemingly recovered) and I hardly noticed.   Turning to come down, the moon was rising in the east.
