A Beauteous evening
It is a beauteous evening, calm and free,
The holy time is quiet as a Nun
Breathless with adoration; the broad sun
Is sinking down in its tranquility;
The gentleness of heaven broods o’er the Sea ...
William Wordsworth
Useful stuff in the morning, more useful stuff in the afternoon and then a quick rush out before sunset. Another beauty. Not a breath of air. Cold and crisp. Ever changing. I chatted with our neighbour at the top of the boreen (fence posts the topic of conversation); passed two women and a teeny dog, some muddy cattle and a flock of starlings; waved to a friend in an upstairs window and admired an early Christmas tree - actually a holly bush entwined with tinsel and decorated with red baubles. Life in the fast lane.
