History in the making
Another day spent indoors waiting for someone to turn up and then a cancellation later in the day.
However the spare time was put to good use. My wife and I talked about what we were going to do about Xmas Cards this year. We looked at the type of cards that had been sent during the War to give us some ideas. The upshot was that I would make a fun Card and take advantage of a 55% discount from the company who prints my photo books. So folded cards with envelopes are now in production and should be with me in a week.
Desperation for a Blip I’m afraid but this was taken a day ago in More London. The area used to contain a small water course that was filled in due to health and safety issues.
So there is a new project called ‘ The Merchant Line”’ underway to dig up part of the space they filled in. It consists of a cast bronze step 250 meters in length with “an organic, rippling texture representing the River Thames.”
Oh well at least you have been spared another Shard.
If you have Netflix then take a look at Hillbilly Elegy staring Glenn Close. Tough but true storyline directed by Ron Howard.
Stay safe and have an enjoyable weekend.
