A walk in the park

We went to Petworth Park this afternoon to follow the ancient trees walk which we hadn't done before. I've always loved the big, old trees in the park and it was really nice to find out a bit more about them. I was sure my choice of picture today would be of a tree, however I then saw this kestrel and liked the way it was looking straight into the camera.

Incidentally, I've been blipping for about 10 years altogether but have only just discovered that you can find out who gives you stars! Not sure how I missed this before, but I've now changed my settings and I would like to thank everyone who has ever given me a star (or heart) over the years :D
