Clematis

I was away early this morning meeting my Craft Group friends then travelling out to Geraldine.  We had two garden walks organised.  The weather turned to custard, cold wind and heavy consistent rain, but we did walk the gardens, the second one rather quickly as it was so cold and wet.  We then went to Cafe Verde for a delicious seafood chowder followed by a generous Ginger and Pistachio slice.  We still had another walk planned through the Rhododendron Dell but was just too wet.   But really it’s all about the company, and my friends from our rural district are very a special group. 
I took this stunning clematis at one of the gardens, truly as large as a dinner plate.
