Dough me a favour

At lunchtime I had a soggy-socked walk around with Marty who is back in Cambridge from France and has had to negotiate all sorts of quarantine, visa and lockdown headaches.

I watched the final of the Great British Bake Off via Skype with Berry and Helen. We’re still smarting over the travesty of Hermine’s ejection last week as she was clearly the best or second best baker throughout. And Laura, who should have gone weeks ago, makes a habit of chucking half her ingredients onto the bench when she gets frustrated and sloppy. Peter is a good egg and exceedingly wholesome. He says words such as ‘dang’ when he has a baking disaster, whereas most of us would turn the air blue. Here concludes the commentary on Bake Off contestants.
