Work - some bad news to a client but fortunately they were expecting it so took it well! Futile attempts to get through to HMRC - line busy then technical issues then I lost the will to live!

A post dinner walk into town to get tea and collect school trousers for Smallest from a friend, then ANOTHER pier coffee - very decadent this week!! Not on Eldest’s Bench though, pesky other people enjoying the sunshine!

Our first virtual parents evening this evening - Smallest’s first at secondary school. All extremely positive about the level of his work, his attitude to learning, his enthusiasm and behaviour. The only minuscule cloud was mention of handwriting by English. Surprisingly the advice was write less but make it legible and if that doesn’t work, let’s get a laptop!!

This was followed by our Scout Zoom - a Scavenger Hunt which seemed a successful again. It will be interesting to see what we’re allowed to do with them next Thursday given today’s Tier 1 for us news!
