This rather beautiful CD package arrived today - Aidan O'Rourke's Best of 365 - the extraordinary project he has undertaken, responding to James Robertson's book of the same name where he wrote a 365-word story every day of the year. Aidan was inspired to write a fiddle tune to accompany each one. This double CD features 30 of them with beautiful artwork from Dalziel and Scullion and a great booklet with the 30 stories. I think it's a terrific achievement (both James' and Aidan's) and am delighted that such an important work is presented with the quality it deserves. You can catch it online every day
