Dumgoyne

First of all, thank you to everyone who left comments on yesterday's tongue-in-cheek robin blip and enjoyed the joke. I'll maybe capture a real one some day...

Today I met my friend Christina for lunch at the Oakwood Garden Centre near Killearn, where they serve fine paninis with an apostrophe, plus a good selection of cakes. They serve plenty other appetising things as well, but these were the items on the menu that we indulged in.

There was a large flock of Canada geese parked in an adjacent field when we came out and I waited for a while to see if they would take off. That would have been a good blip! However, they were obviously exhausted and I got bored waiting, so instead I've chosen the lovely view from the cafeteria, looking south-east towards Dumgoyne.

Unfortunately it was back to grey skies today.

I am now waiting for Daughter#1 to arrive. She has been at a business meeting in Newcastle and is taking advantage of being in the UK to visit home for a few days.
