Palo Verde

They’re such great looking trees. I don’t think they are native to AZ, but they are well adapted and all over. To help them weather the extreme heat they have tiny leaves. They handle their photo-synthesis primarily through their bright green bark. In the spring they’re a riot of little yellow flowers. This one just caught my eye as we were eating dinner.
