COVERED BRIDGE
A while back, herself decided that we needed to fire up the Subaru and head east to see some covered bridges before they were all gone. I've been married to my first wife for 52 years and you don't stay married that long without understanding that if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
So we fired up the Subaru and headed east to find some covered bridges. Believe it or not, there are publications out there all about covered bridges and their histories...so we weren't flying blind. We found lots of them in varied states of repair and a few that were no longer around except for the foundations.
These shots are from New Hampshire somewhere. The main shot is one of the smaller bridges we found and the river shot in the Extras was taken from one of the longer bridges we found. It was a beautiful bridge but I thought the river full of nervous water was a better shot.
But I knew you were going to ask...so I also added to the Extras the "Bridge over Nervous Water." It rained a lot on this trip taking some of the joy out of seeing the beautiful New England autumn colors.
