On the town service...
The model double decker is finished. The first Bristol/ECW double deck model in any of my Port Appin fleets is HSM643. It's based on a Little Bus Company (LBC) kit and registered as a Caledonian vehicle. I've painted it into a West Highland/Highland livery. This fleet is as imaginary as my West Coast fleet but it's operating area is Oban/FortWilliam. The WCM fleet is modelled around Oban/Campbeltown. The actual vehicle was in the first batch of Bristol/ECW buses bought by Caledonian after they were acquired by BTC. As London was having a post war vehicle shortage it was diverted there before reaching Dumfries. When it finally arrived in Dumfries the company had been merged with WSMT, another fleet merged into BTC ownership when they bought the SMT Group in 1948.
In the extras there's a piece about making 3D model bikes in 1/87th scale - with spokes. That'll keep some of you satisfied. ;-)
PS. I know I've spelled Ballachulish incorrectly.
