Oscar Romero

Oscar Romero, (4th) Archbishop of San Salvador was assassinated on 24 March 1980. This plaque is dedicatd to him and situated in a wall at the entrance to Pollock Halls (Student Accomodation) in Edinburgh. The inscription along the bottom reads "Let my blood be a seed of freedom and a sign that hope will soon be a reality." I have no idea why it has been placed here, maybe another blipped does know!
