Sending a prayer

The sky was lovely as I drove to work today but I felt it leach out of my heart as I crossed the bridge.
The bridge currently has one lane out of action both sides for some bridge repairs for part of its span. I had just got through the single lane section when I noticed up ahead that a lane was closed off again. Thinking there was yet more road works I checked out what they were doing. Alas there was 2 bridge workers with a young woman who was sitting dejectedly holding on to the railings. I could feel her desperation from the car as I passed. As I drove past I sent a prayer up to the Lord that she may find help and peace.
