My stroll along the river clashed with a meeting, so unfortunately I missed three hours of discussion that became testy at times. Possibly this was in relation to the Christmas party. (I still remember how heated things got in a previous organisation when it was suggested that we all kick in to buy a goat for a village in a developing country. The vegans pointed out that the goat might eventually be eaten.) Anyway, a date has been agreed.

Three cormorants were perched on the gross pollutant boom at Boat Harbour on the river. The largest, hanging its wings out to dry in the extra, is possibly a great cormorant.

If you’re interested, a guy called David Noble has terrific photos of Tempe and Cooks River birds on his blog.

Thanks for hosting JDO.
