Surprise visitor

Walked up to Coppice Pond this lunchtime - met Jeanneb53 and Mr Jb53 just after we set off- they were returning from a walk over the moors.
We treated ourselves to an al fresco takeaway lunch from the cafe. The sun was shining and we sat on our plastic bags on a bench overlooking the pond!
This mandarin duck was a surprise visitor on the pond, very confident coming to be fed and squaring up to all the mallards
