Free flow

I've been sewing today - with bought felt and classic embroidery stitches and following a pattern. 

In my sewing basket is this - my very full, and quite old, needle case. Very different - felt made by me from fleece, with silk strands incorporated and free machine embroidery. I have posted this to remind me that once upon a time I did more creative craft and embroidery than I do now. There is a place for both, but I want to get back to being a bit more experimental.
