Diary of an Edinburgher

Tough

Well, a bit of a carry-on during the night. Archie went to the back door at 1.30am and gave a hopeful, but subdued,  ‘wuff’. I shouted at him to ‘Just stop that!’ And so he did, and wandered back to the sofa via pawing at my bedside. Then at 2.30am, he tried again, half-heartedly.

Again at 4am, and when he came to my bedside, this time I helped him up, where he dozed happily till 9am.

So I know that he doesn’t really need out.

And he knows I know...

I went off to my Monday morning torture session, and boy, it was tough today. I needed two cups of water, and I don’t normally put much effort in, let alone raise a sweat. I popped in to the cafe just round the corner, I really deserved a coffee today. Nice Greek music on their radio.

A delivery arrived, unexpectedly. Those of you with sharp eyes will realise what it was...

We sat in the Links for ages, Archie standing up on my knee like this, both of us just looking around and watching the goings on. The nearby primary school was just out, so the place was heaving with squealing small people. I waited to see if the evening light was going to get any better, but it didn’t.

Another vaccine!!
