A bridge too far

Finally the sun came out again so we decided to get off the train early going into the city and walk along the river. A couple of miles later, it didn't seem such a good idea!
This is the Kurilpa pedestrian bridge that goes from the CBD to South Bank in Brisbane. Think it pays homage to the sailing ships that used to fill the Brisbane river many years ago. The australians are so committed to their coffee that there is a coffee stall half way across the bridge in case of a caffeine emergency!
Onwards into the city for a visit to the wednesday fresh fruit and veg market. So lovely to see the locally grown produce- very exotic with pineapples being 'in season'
I love that they do shop seasonally here, imported stuff is so expensive and they do believe in supporting local farmers.
